Here in Lincoln, we enjoy safe neighborhoods and a high level of public safety thanks to long-term investments and police and fire. Public safety should remain the number one priority of local government. As your city Councilmember, I will be a strong advocate for local law enforcement and fire and make sure our first responders have the resources they need to keep our community safe.
Small businesses are the lifeblood of our local economy. I have worked for small businesses for my entire life and I’m proud to work with small businesses through the Chamber of Commerce and the City’s Economic Development Committee. The business climate in California is incredibly challenging for small business owners. We need to do everything we can at the City level to support small businesses, reduce regulatory and financial burdens, and make Lincoln an attractive place to create jobs and start businesses.
Maintaining the high quality of life we have in Lincoln requires us to think about new development and planning in the long-term and make sure that we’re minimizing the impacts that new development has on our communities through strategic investments in infrastructure, schools, parks, and community amenities. We can strike a balance between meeting the need for new housing in our community and sustaining the high quality of life that has made Lincoln such an attractive place to live in the first place.
